Mr. Bruce E. Quillen, 47, of Morris, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at home.
Born Jan. 17, 1963, in Morris, Bruce was the son of Sally and Robert Walker and Gerald Quillen. He was a graduate of East Aurora High School with the Class of 1981. He was also a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, having acquired a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business.
Bruce was currently employed with Walgreens Drug Store in Morris.
Bruce was an avid Chicago Bears fan who enjoyed sports, attending concerts with family and friends and spending time with his grandparents at the Beane Homestead in Plattville, Ill. He was a member of Mazon Lodge 826 A.F. & A.M., Medinah Shrine Club and Happy Hill Aerie 1024 in Morris.
Survivors include his parents, Sally and Bob Walker of Bristol, Ill., Gerald Quillen of Mesa, Ariz., and Fredrick Beane, formerly of Plattville, Ill.; paternal grandmother, JeanNette Beane of Plattville; two sisters, Valerie Kane of Warrenville, Ill., and Karen Quillen of Plano, Ill.; one brother, Brad (Tammy) Quillen of Yorkville, Ill.; step-sister, Lori (Dan) Thomas of Oswego, Ill.; step-brothers, Robert Walker of Aurora, Ill., and Mark (Diane) Walker of Lisbon, Ill.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Martha and Harry Byers; and his paternal grandfather, Russell Beane.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at U. C. Davis & Sons Funeral Home Ltd., 301 W. Washington St., Morris. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010. Rev. Christie Callahan will officiate.
Interment will follow at Willard Grove Cemetery in Channahon.
