St. Charles police reports

• Alexander Steven Heath, 18, of the 300 block of North Fifth Street, St. Charles, was charged Monday, June 21, with underage drinking.

• Three members of a family of the 3100 block of Greenwood Lane reported Saturday, June 19, someone had gone through each of their cars while they were parked in the garage. Stolen items included two purses and a GPS device.

• Freddie Lee Parson Jr., 41, of the 5300 block of West Huron Street, Chicago, was charged Monday, June 21, with retail theft for allegedly taking $729.92 of merchandise, including four mobile phones, reusable grocery bags and bath items, from Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road.

• A resident of the 900 block of Dean Street reported Monday, June 21, the theft of his 66-gallon air tank stored in front of his house.

• A woman on Monday, June 21, reported more than $1,200 in jewelry was taken from her car while it was parked at X-Sport Fitness, 238 N. Randall Road, between Friday, June 18, and Sunday, June 20.

• Samantha Marie Brubaker, 21, of the 6N100 block of Florence Lane, St. Charles, was charged Tuesday, June 22, with retail theft for allegedly taking $141.16 of merchandise from Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road.

• Four large flood lights at Wredling Middle School, 1200 Dunham Road, were reportedly vandalized by rocks some time before Tuesday, June 22.

• Jordan Maxwell Hale, 19, of the 300 block of Timbers Trail, St. Charles, and Clayton Ginther, 18, of the 0-100 block of Cornell Court, South Elgin, were charged Tuesday, June 22, with underage drinking.

• A man reported on Tuesday, June 22, his wallet was stolen from an unsecured locker at X-Sport Fitness, 238 N. Randall Road. It contained $50, a driver's license, insurance card and credit card.

• Craig William Kolecki, 35, of the 3300 block of Renard Lane, St. Charles, was charged Sunday, June 13, with battery and obstructing a peace officer.

• Todd Michael Hegy, 53, of the 1300 block of Horne Street, St. Charles, was charged Wednesday, June 23, with aggravated assault and two counts of domestic battery: one for bodily harm, the other for provoking contact.

• The owner of Mobile Service Station, 1023 W. Main St., reported Thursday, June 24, a man used a stolen credit card to buy two cartons of cigarettes valued at $114.46 on June 14.

• Compact Industries Inc., 3945 Ohio Ave., reported someone on Monday, June 21, set a fire in the factory area's men's washroom for employees. It was set in a plastic bin containing paper toilet seat covers. The fire was out by the time the damage was found. About 100 employees were on duty at the time.

• Michael Patrick Purcell Jr., 29, of the 100 block of North Regency Drive West, Arlington Heights, was charged Friday, June 25, with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding for allegedly going 57 mph in a 30 mph zone.

• Eduardo Gabriel Sosa, 38, of the 400 block of Spring Street, Batavia, was charged Friday, June 25, with speeding and was arrested on a DuPage County warrant for failing to appear on a charge of deceptive practice.

• Sara Lyn Jones, 35, of the 1N200 block of Blackberry Crossing Circle West, Elburn, was charged Friday, June 25, with retail theft for allegedly taking $57.71 in merchandise, including food, picture frames and greeting cards from Meijer, 855 S. Randall Road.
