Longtin, Doremus unite in marriage

Couple share vows June 5 at Washington Christian Church

Sarah Nichole Longtin of Seneca and Lucas Todd Doremus of Washington, Ill., were married by the Rev. Jeff Browning at 6:30 p.m. the evening of Friday, June 5, at Washington Christian Church in Washington.

Bill & LaRee Longtin of Seneca are the parents of the bride. Tom & Terri Doremus of Washington are the parents of the groom.

Maid of honor was Ashley Angeloff of Verona, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amy Hettinger of Philo and Megan ZuHone of Mattoon, both friends of the bride. Flower girl was Molly Kuehn, sister of the groom.

Best man was Josh Marshall of Washington, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Casey Doremus and Cody Doremus, both of Washington, brothers of the groom. Usher was Matthew Longtin of Seneca, brother of the bride.

Mandy Reimer, friend of the bride, presided at the guestbook.

Pianist was Joyce Schupp and soloists were Annie Kennedy and Megan ZuHone, all friends of the couple.

The cocktail reception and dance took place through the night at Five Points Washington in Washington.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Seneca Township High School and a 2009 graduate of Millikin University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in music business. She is an advertising representative for Times Newspapers in Peoria.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of Washington Community High School and a 2009 graduate of Millikin University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in commercial music. He is an advertising coordinator for DMC in Peoria. He also is a junior varsity soccer coach at Peoria Christian High School, and a part-time guitar teacher for the Washington Park District.

The couple also travels around the state as a musical duet.

Following a week-long wedding trip to Vail, Colo., they are residing in Washington.
