Utility pole down in Lockport causing traffic to be rerouted

Rail crossing gates also stuck

Police siren/emergency lights

A utility pole fell on State Street at 14th Street in downtown Lockport Sunday night.

The city reported just past 7 p.m. that traffic is being rerouted off of State Street. Commonwealth Edison is arriving but repair times are not known, the city reported.

Also, the rail crossing gates at 9th Street and Canal Street were stuck down as of 7:07 p.m., according to the city. CN Railroad was en route to repair them, but there was no estimated time for that situation to be resolved, the city said.
