Elburn Days shuts down early Saturday amid storms

Elburn Days shut down early Saturday as lightning and rain storms moved through the area.

Elburn Days, the largest fundraiser of the year for the local Lions Club, kicked off Friday, Aug. 15 and runs through Sunday, Aug. 17. The history of the festival dates to 1933 and began as A Day in the Park. Now it includes carnival rides, live entertainment on multiple stages, a beer garden and more.
