The independent psychological thriller “Where Silence Lies” will arrive at The Dixon: Historic Theatre for limited screenings May 7 and 14, offering audiences a tightly focused story that explores shifting truths, identity, and psychological tension.

The film follows the aftermath of a brutal home invasion that leaves a powerful family dead. A single survivor becomes the focus of an intense overnight interrogation as investigators seek answers under mounting public scrutiny. As inconsistencies in her story emerge, the investigation transforms into a psychological standoff where every answer raises new questions and the truth becomes increasingly elusive.

Set almost entirely in an interrogation room, “Where Silence Lies” uses its confined setting to heighten tension and draw viewers into a real-time battle of perception and control, according to a news release issued by producer Nicholas J. Moore of Moore Digital Studios.

The film leans on performance and dialogue, employing unreliable narration and escalating conflict to create a suspenseful experience that unfolds moment by moment.

The cast includes Alexandra Sommese, Rich Graff, Jennifer Mkoma, Marx Mitchell and James David West. Produced by Nicholas J. Moore, the film represents the final feature work of Emmy Award-winning editor Edgar Burcksen.

Filmed in Nashville, over six days in a single location, the movie emphasizes performance, atmosphere and psychological intensity. Its visual style relies on controlled lighting and tight framing to reinforce the sense of confinement and unease.

“Where Silence Lies”, which will show at 7:30 p.m. May 7 and 14 at The Dixon: Historic Theatre, premiered as an official selection at the Hot Springs International Horror Film Festival, giving early audiences a first look ahead of its limited theatrical release.
