Salsa class offered July 13 at the Putnam County Community Center

The University of Illinois Extension Office has an upcoming course on how to make salsa.

Susan Glassman, Nutrition & Wellness Educator and learn the in-and-outs of making and storing salsa safely on July 13 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Putnam County Community Center, 1st St, Standard. After attending this class, you will have the trusted resources from Illinois Extension to use for making delicious salsa this summer with produce from your garden, grocer, or farmer’s market. During class, enjoy a live cooking demonstration with samples to take home and taste. Don’t forget to take home recipes that will be available at class.
