Carpentersville police responded Sunday morning to the scene of a fatal traffic crash at Route 31 and Gentle Breeze Terrace.

Police posted a message on social media about the crash about 9 a.m. Sunday.

The roadway was closed in both directions, but was reopened by 11 a.m.

Police said they would provide updates.
