Teams from Coal City, Herscher, La Salle-Peru, Manteno, Morris, Peotone, Princeton and Streator competed in the Class 2A Sectional track meet on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Pontiac High School.

Sycamore surged late and held off Kaneland to win the Interstate 8 Boys Conference Championship, not only snapping the Knights' streak of seven straight conference wins but winning its first since 2002.

Aidan Wyzard and Dylan Hodges each won four events, while Eli Crome qualified in three to help lead Sycamore to a sectional title. Dale Johnson qualified in two distance events for Sterling, and 11 1,600 runners qualified.
