Motorist dies in single-vehicle crash northeast of Sheridan

A motorist died Friday afternoon when they lost control of their vehicle along a curve, northeast of Sheridan, the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said.

At 4:44 p.m., La Salle County deputies responded to the scene on North 4201st Road near East 27th Road in Mission Township.

According to deputies, the motorist appeared to be traveling south bound on North 4201st RD when they lost control of their vehicle along the curve striking a guard rail and flipping onto their roof in Roods Creek.

The crash still is under investigation by the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office and La Salle County Coroner’s Office. The identity of the deceased is being held until family are notified.
