The La Salle County Health Department announced 23 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the county’s total to 10,988.
The department also announced six new recoveries, which brings the total recovered cases in the county to 8,873.
The new cases include a girl under the age of 13, two men in their 20s, three women in their 20s, two men in their 30s, a woman in her 30s, a man in his 40s, a woman in their 40s, six men in their 50s, two women in their 50s, a man in his 60s, a woman in her 60s, a man in his 70s and a woman in her 70s.
La Salle County’s positivity rate dropped to 2.7%, and the county is at a seven-day rolling average of 2.8%.
There were 1,228 vaccinations administered on Friday, bringing La Salle County to 9,793 people fully vaccinated, or 8.95% of the county’s population.
