MORRIS – Gigi’s Women’s Boutique, one of downtown Morris’s destination shops, celebrated its 10-year anniversary in July.
Gigi’s official anniversary was on July 7, but owner Heidi Kindelspire has been celebrating with her customers for the entire month with giveaways, raffles, sales and gifts.
“We are a clothing store like no other, dedicated to bringing you the most fabulous, current and trendy without leaving behind classic fashions, shoes and accessories at moderate prices,” Kindelspire said. “We value ourselves as being unique and standing out among a crowd, finding you the perfect pieces to fit in your wardrobe.
“We continue to evolve, not being repetitious with our clothing, as we want you to look great and feel amazing knowing you will be radiant in your clothing and accessories found at Gigi’s.”
Since its opening day 10 years ago, Gigi’s has doubled its size and continues to grow with its staff and products. The store carries clothing sizes small to 3XL, as well as shoes, jewelry, bathing suits, accessories and more. The Gigi’s team currently has nine employees.
On July 27, Gigi’s celebrated its milestone with an anniversary ribbon-cutting with the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Morris Mayor Chris Brown. After doing some shopping herself, state Sen. Sue Rezin also joined the celebration.
“Gigi’s offers something for every age and body style, and their staff goes above and beyond to help make sure you feel amazing. We are proud to call Gigi’s a Chamber member and are grateful for their investment in our community,” Chamber President and CEO Christina Van Yperen said.
As Gigi’s continues to plan for the future, Kindelspire said it is her goal to further the store’s outreach and bring even more people to Morris.
The store and its team pride themselves on getting to know each and every customer to ensure they experience a fun, friendly, personal shopping experience and fashion without repetition.
“We love fashion and continue to bring you the latest styles without repeating what we already have had. Merchandise arrives practically every day, and over the past 10 years we have stayed true to our goals of who we are: making sure not everyone is going to be wearing the same thing and that there will always be new items to see here at Gigi’s on a daily basis,” Kindelspire said.
