Update: Route 6 is reopened after three-vehicle collision

MINOOKA — Four people were injured in a three-vehicle accident, involving a Minooka Fire Protection District Ambulance, at McLinden Road and Route 6 intersection at 10:20 a.m. , according to Minooka Police Chief Justin Meyer.

Two individuals inside the ambulance and two individuals in the remaining vehicles were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

The Minooka Police Department announced on social media that the McLinden Road and Route 6 intersection is reopened to traffic.

The Minooka Police Department is investigating the incident.
