Debbie Steffes, the long-time curator of the Grundy County History Museum, has announced her retirement.

She joined the museum in 2009 after a career at the Morris Public Library, and she has more than 50 years of experience working in the library field.

In her time, she developed exhibits, expanded the archives, and shared the county’s rich history with the community.

The museum will host a reception in January celebrating her contributions to the community.
