The Fray’s final performance with Isaac Slade to take place in Waukegan

Frontman announces plan to step away from band

WAUKEGAN – Isaac Slade, lead singer and frontman of The Fray, is leaving the band after his final performance at 8 p.m. May 14 at The Genesee Theatre.

Slade shared the news on Instagram: “I have some heavy news to share today. I know it’s been pretty quiet on the band front for a long time, but I want to let everyone know I’m stepping down from The Fray. It’s been an honor and privilege to make music with those three amazing guys for the last two decades, and all for the best fans anyone could ever imagine.”

Fans have one chance to see Isaac Slade perform again, as their show at The Genesee is their only booked show from now until Slade’s retirement.

The concert is at 8 p.m. May 14 at the theater, 203 N. Genesee St., Waukegan. Tickets cost between $69 and $109.
