Summer Carnival brings cheers, thrills to Oswego’s Prairie Point park this weekend

Oswego area residents now have chance to enjoy some thrills and excitement at the Summer Carnival, hosted by the Oswegoland Park District, in the village’s Prairie Point Park.

Typically, the carnival is held as part of the annual PrairieFest community celebration every Father’s Day weekend in June, but this year the park district has moved PrairieFest to Labor Day weekend, Sept. 4-7, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the fest’s carnival is going on this weekend in Prairie Point Park off Plainfield Road.

The carnival opens from 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. - 10 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Additional information about the summer carnival and PrairieFest 2021 can be found on the PrairieFest website.
