Newark volleyball clinched a share of the Little Ten Conference regular-season championship, and Yorkville volleyball was a winner on Senior Night in Tuesday's prep sports roundup.

The IHSA Board of Directors voted Wednesday to add state finals competitions in boys lacrosse and boys volleyball. Progress made through the COVID-19 pandemic will make it possible for more travel under IDPH guidelines, meaning those sports will get their state tournaments like other sports.
