St. Charles Chamber of Commerce president and CEO appointed to Economic Development Council for 117th Congress

At the invitation of U.S. Rep. Lauren Underwood, D-Naperville, St. Charles Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Jim Di Ciaula has been appointed to the Economic Development Advisory Council for the 117th Congress.

Over the next two years, the council will not only be focused on sharing and discussing ideas and feedback relating to economic development, but also provide advice and guidance on the most pressing issues facing the business community today.

“I am humbled and excited to represent our amazing business community as well as to serve on Congresswoman Underwood’s advisory council,” Di Ciaula said in a news release from the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce.

Underwood thanked him for wanting to serve on the advisory council.

“Your willingness to give your time and talents to this council is a testament to your devotion to serving others and empowering your peers through leadership and advocacy,” she said.

In addition to Di Ciaula’s current role with the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, he is a seasoned financial services executive with demonstrated achievements in improving business performance through customer-centric strategies. He is a community leader with economic development expertise as well as a long-time advocate for social services, utilizing his business acumen to strengthen the impact of the non-profit community

Di Ciaula has and continues to serve on non-profit boards and committees, with a reputation for helping these organizations think strategically and grow sustainably.

“Jim Di Ciaula is a great choice to be part of Congresswoman Lauren Underwood’s Economic Development Advisory Council for the 117th Congress,” St. Charles Mayor Ray Rogina said in the release. “His skill set has served our business community well, particularly during the pandemic, and he will be an asset to moving business activity in the 14th Congressional District forward.”
