2026 Times All-Area Girls Basketball Team

25 of the area’s best from this past winter

Honoring 25 of the area’s top girls basketball players as selected by The Times Sports staff, here is the Times All-Area Girls Basketball Team.

First Team

Kaitlyn Davis, Marquette, jr.

The Crusaders' shooting guard averaged 19.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 4.1 steals. Davis had 24 points and seven rebounds to help lead Marquette to a Class 1A regional championship win over Dwight. She was named to the Amboy Christmas, Seneca/Flanagan Thanksgiving and Tri-County Conference All-Tournament teams, as well as the TCC All-Conference First Team. Davis currently sits at 1,658 points for her career.

She was a Times first-team selection as a sophomore and a second-team pick as a freshman.

Marquette's Kaitlyn Davis

Macy Gochanour, Fieldcrest. sr.

The Knights' sharp-shooting guard posted per-game averages of 20.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 3.0 steals. Gochanour, whose season was cut short with a late-season injury, scored 1,828 career points to finish as the program’s all-time leading scorer. She was named to the Ottawa Girls Holiday All-Tournament Team, voted to the All-Heart of Illinois Conference first team and the Illinois Media Class 1A All-State honorable mention.

She was a Times All-Area second-team honoree as a junior and a third-team member as a sophomore.

Fieldcrest's Macy Gochanour

Kennedy Kane, Ottawa, fr.

The Pirates' all-around solid rookie led the team with 10.2 points, while averaging 3.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals. Kane canned 49 shots from beyond the arc and led the squad in scoring in 12 games, including six of Ottawa’s last eight games. She had a season-high 25 points against Streator, 19 points against Limestone and 18 points against Morris. She was named Interstate 8 All-Conference honorable mention.

This is Kane’s first appearance on the Times All-Area Team.

Ottawa's Kennedy Kane

Graysen Provance, Seneca, jr.

The Fighting Irish guard shot and slashed her way to 17.7 points per game to go along with norms of 3.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.7 steals. In late January, Provance broke the 36-year-old single-game scoring mark after pouring in 44 points in a win over Dwight while also tying the program mark with 16 field goals. She was named to the Seneca/Flanagan Thanksgiving and Tri-County All-Tournament teams and was a unanimous selection to the TCC All-Conference first team.

She was a Times All-Area honorable mention pick as a sophomore.

Seneca's Graysen Provance

Mary Stisser, Ottawa, sr.

The Times Girls Basketball Player of the Year, Stisser - according to Pirates coach Brent Moore – “Is the definition of a true team player and an amazing leader on and off the floor.” She averaged 9.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.9 steals. The Ottawa guard had eight points, nine rebounds and four assists to help her team top Sterling for a Class 3A regional championship. In her three years as a varsity starter, the Pirates won 61 games. She was voted to the Ottawa Girls Holiday All-Tournament Team and was an Interstate 8 All-Conference honoree.

Stisser was a Times All-Area third-team member as a junior and honorable mention pick as a sophomore.
