Zion UCC donates $2,500 to Illinois Valley Food Pantry

Peru church continues support through fundraisers and congregation donations

The donation was funded by church fundraisers and personal donations from the congregation. Zion UCC has been a strong supporter of IV Food Pantry since the pantry was founded.

Zion United Church of Christ in Peru donated $2,500 to the Illinois Valley Food Pantry on Monday, continuing the congregation’s long-standing support of the local nonprofit.

The donation came from church fundraisers and personal contributions from congregation members. Larry Grosenbach, council president at Zion UCC, presented the check to Mary Jo Credi, executive director of the Illinois Valley Food Pantry.

The Illinois Valley Food Pantry provides food assistance to residents across the region.
