Starved Rock offers guided spring hike April 25 to see wildflowers and waterfalls

Free naturalist-led event features peak season blooms and cascades

A couple hikes up the stairs to the top of Starved Rock at Starved Rock State Park. Federal cuts to the National Park Service may lead to more visitors at Starved Rock and other Illinois state parks.

The “Chasing Spring Hike” will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Starved Rock State Park.

Join a Starved Rock naturalist to learn about spring changes in the park and to see blooming wildflowers and the park’s famous waterfalls at their peak.
