Putnam County 7th graders crowned Little Tri-County Conference champions

Putnam County used a 17-0 start to defeat Fieldcrest 47-17 to capture the Little Tri-County Conference 7th-grade tournament championship on Saturday, Jan. 18. Brennen McDonald led the Pumas with 24 points and 17 rebounds. PC beat Roanoke-Benson 39-29 in the semifinals as Luke Gabrielse and McDonald each scored 13 points.
