The problem with undisguised partisanship is that you have to ignore glaring nonpartisan issues. With regards to Mr. [Victor Davis] Hanson’s contention that President [Joe] Biden influenced the indictments against Mr. [Donald] Trump, consider these points he left out:
Only grand juries determine indictments, and if you’ve ever been picked for a jury or a grand jury, you know the POTUS has nothing to do with the process. Especially when indictments are brought in four different areas of the country from four separate grand juries.
Evidence is the determining factor in indictments big or small, and partisans just skip over this inconvenience. Is Mr. Hanson is unable to read the charges and access the mountains of evidence in three convictions already determined against the former president??
Of course the actual process and the actual evidence trips up partisans from both sides because party thinking is lazy thinking every time. You don’t like the convictions and thereby the Rule of Law and trial by jury, Mr. Hanson? Please suggest a better system.
