I-57 northbound closed after crash Monday morning near Manteno

The Illinois State Police issued an advisory Monday morning that I-57 northbound is closed after a crash.

Traffic is being diverted off the interstate at exit 322 onto County Highway 9.

Drivers should expect delays and seek alternative routes if at all possible.

The weather Monday morning saw cold and blowing snow all over the region, creating many traffic hazards.
