DeKalb High School is the site of the IHSA State Badminton Championships Friday and Saturday drawing teams and fans from all over Illinois.

The DeKalb badminton team made history on Friday at the IHSA State Championship. And it wasn’t just because the Barbs were hosting for the first time.

DeKalb High School is the site of this year's IHSA State Badminton Finals. The Barbs have three athletes competing this weekend, Kaitlyn Davis and Lea Guelde qualified as a doubles team along with Gwen Pfile in singles.

DeKalb High will host the IHSA Girls Badminton State finals, the IHSA announced Monday. DeKalb will serve as the host from 2023 until at least 2025.
