At the hoops: Hall invades L-P, St. Bede plays at Marquette

Two Illinois Valley rivalry game are on tap tonight to warm up the boys basketball scene.

The Hall Red Devils will invade Sellett Gymnasium at L-P. The Red Devils are 2-2, including a forfeit win over Reed-Custer at the Seneca Thanksgiving Tournament. The Cavs also stand 2-2.

St. Bede travels to Bader Gym to face the host Ottawa Marquette. The Bruins are 2-2 coming off a fourth-place finish in the Route 17 Classic at Streator Woodland. The Cru is 1-0 with a 62-34 win over DePue.

In other local action, Princeton (1-3) makes its home debut against Alleman, which is making its season debut. The Tigers’ three losses in the Geneseo Thanksgiving Tournament came by a total of six points (1, 3, 2).

The sophomores will tip off at 5:30 p.m. followed by the varsity at 7 p.m. at all three sights.
