Bears injury report: Khalil Mack, Akiem Hicks return to limited participation in practice

LAKE FOREST – Bears outside linebacker Khalil Mack and defensive tackle Akiem Hicks both returned to practice Friday in a limited capacity. Hicks’ status for Sunday’s game at Las Vegas is officially doubtful, while Mack is questionable.

Hicks (groin) and Mack (ribs/foot) both suffered injuries in Sunday’s win over Detroit. Hicks left the game on the first possession. Mack appeared to suffer an injury early in the game but did return to the field.

Mack has been notorious for battling through minor injuries and hasn’t missed a game since 2018.

Tight end Jesse James (personal reasons), tight end J.P. Holtz (quad), linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe (hamstring) and running back David Montgomery (knee) are all officially listed as out.

Safety Tashaun Gipson (hamstring), tight end Jesper Horsted (knee) and linebacker Christian Jones (back) are all listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.

Darnell Mooney (groin) returned to full participation in practice and doesn’t hold any injury designation ahead of the game. Safety Deon Bush (shoulder), quarterback Andy Dalton (knee) and running back Damien Williams (quad) are dealing with injuries but hold no injury designations heading into Sunday’s game.
