Rollover accident in Marengo sends two to the hospital

Two people were taken to an area hospital after a single-vehicle accident in Marengo Monday night, a fire official said.

First responders were dispatched at 10:20 p.m. to the 400 block of Railroad Street, Marengo Fire Protection District Capt. Patrick Fanning said.

An older SUV had rolled over, Fanning said. Two people were taken to the hospital while two others were seen and released at the scene, he said.

The extent of their injuries was not immediately available, but Fanning said the people in the car got out on their own.
