Kane County Sheriff reports for Nov. 13-19

These are the latest Kane County Sheriff’s reports:

• A county resident reported to sheriff’s deputies Nov. 19 that he placed a $900 Lenovo IdeaPad Laptop Computer on top of his vehicle and then forgot it was there when he drove to DeKalb via Main Street Road to Bunker Road and to Keslinger Road. The laptop is now missing.

• Two six-pane casement windows and frames valued at $1,200 were reported damaged Nov. 13 to a barn in the 3S800 block of Finley Road, Sugar Grove Township. The suspect used a brick from an old silo that was torn down. The owner did not find anything missing from the barn, the report stated.

• A garbage truck belonging to DC Recycling caught on fire Nov. 16 in the area of Harter and Dauberman roads in Kaneville. The driver and passenger put the fire out but still requested the Kaneville Fire Protection District to continue putting it out.
