Pace to temporarily close indoor spaces at Plainfield transportation center

In response to Governor Pritzker’s announcement of the statewide rollback to Tier 3 COVID-19 mitigation strategies, Pace will close the indoor space at its Plainfield transportation center beginning Nov. 20.

The closure will affect the Elgin and Harvey transportation centers, too.

Buses will continue to serve these locations, but Ventra vending machines will not be accessible.

Passengers are encouraged to download the Ventra app to add funds to their accounts.

Riders can also add transit value online, by phone, or at participating retailers; more information is available at ventrachicago.com.

The facilities are expected to remain closed through Jan. 11, 2021.

Passengers are reminded to wear face coverings, practice social distancing, and limit travel to essential trips.
