Lauren Hoyt of Sandwich recently received a grant from the PEO Program for Continuing Education.
The PEO program awards need-based grants to women whose education has been interrupted or delayed. The grant helps them to return to school to complete a degree or certification that will improve their marketable skills in order to further their job opportunities.
Hoyt was nominated to receive this the grant by Chapter FO of Sandwich. She will use the grant during the 2020-21 school year at Lewis University in Romeoville, where she will attain her professional educator licensure with an endorsement as a certified school nurse.
