Sheriff's office asks for public's help in solving Sterling thefts

STERLING – Authorities investigating a series of thefts that occurred at businesses on Sterling's west side early Friday are asking the public to share any information that might lead to an arrest.

According to a news release from the Whiteside County Sheriff's Office, thieves on the night of Sept. 17 and the early morning of Sept. 18 removed external air conditioning condenser units from businesses located in the Sterling Industrial Park off West LeFevre Road.

Anyone who may have observed something suspicious or may have information related to the thefts are encouraged to contact the Whiteside County Sheriff's Office at 815-772-4044.

Citizens with information can also contact Whiteside County Crime Stoppers at 815-772-4044.
