STERLING – Yet-to-be-determined improvements are in store next year for the Sterling branch of Midland States Bank, located at 302 First Avenue.
Improvement projects range from updating drive-thru lanes to new builds, with construction slated to begin in the spring of 2021. More details about the improvements for the Sterling branch will be shared by Midland States Bank in early 2021.
Other locations slated for physical improvements are in Mendota and Diamond.
“Midland States Bank remains committed to ensuring our customers have access to banking services and convenient tools to help meet their financial needs,” said Jeffrey Mefford, president of Midland States Bank, in a prepared statement. “We are planning a new, modern facility to serve the Sterling community. We look forward to sharing more details as the project progresses in early 2021.”
Earlier this month, Midland announced that it will close or consolidate 13 branches, or 20% of its branch network, by the end of the year. The company will also renovate and upgrade five other branches to reduce the size to better serve retail and commercial customers.
