The Whiteside County Health Department announced five new cases of COVID-19 as well as four recoveries on Saturday.
The new cases include two people under 20 as well as people in their 20s, 40s and 60s.
After having three separate days in late August in which the county reported more than 15 new cases, Saturday marked the fifth consecutive day of fewer than 10 new cases and the ninth consecutive day of 10 or fewer.
Lee, Carroll and Ogle counties did not release updated statistics on Saturday.
Whiteside County has had 637 cases and 20 deaths. Lee County has had 288 cases, 250 recoveries and one death. Ogle County has had 575 cases, 504 recoveries and five deaths. Carroll County has had 158 cases, 142 recoveries and four deaths.
Illinois on Saturday announced 2,121 new cases and 22 COVID-related deaths. The state has seen 259,909 cases and 8,295 deaths.
Sterling has had 2,928 tests conducted and 229 positive cases. Rock Falls has had 1,550 tests and 113 cases. Dixon has had 4,534 tests and 218 cases. Rochelle has had 2,968 tests and 261 cases.
