Requests from Meijer and McDonald's to update the exteriors of their outlets in Oswego will be on the agenda for action by the village board next week.
Meijer, located at 2700 Route 34 in the Gerry Centennial Plaza shopping center, is seeking board approval tor an amendment to its 2005 development agreement to change the store's exterior color scheme and signage.
Currently the store features a combination red, blue and beige color scheme. The proposed new color scheme would feature varying shades of gray and align with Meijer's new color palette and store remodels, according to a village staff memo.
Village staff is recommending the board approve Meijer's request.
The board will also consider a request for an amendment to a 2006 development agreement to allow for a change in the exterior color scheme and building materials for the McDonald's restaurant at 3417 Orchard Road on the village's west side.
The proposed improvements include tuck pointing and repairing all existing masonry, and replacing the metal fascia and fiber cement panels, a village staff memo notes.
The improvements would not affect the existing signage, lighting and windows on the restaurant, according to the memo.
Village staff is also recommending board approval of the McDonald's request.
The board will consider the request during their next meeting set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 at Village Hall, 100 Parkers Mill.
