The Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging (WIAAA) is currently seeking individuals interested in planning for the needs of older adults to serve as Advisory Council members.
Advisory Council members assist in determining priorities for action, identifying problem areas and needs, defining agency goals and providing organized support for funded programs.
Meetings are conducted on the third Wednesday of November, February, May and August at the WIAAA office in Rock Island. Mileage is reimbursed.
WIAAA has two openings for an Advisory Council member to represent one of these counties: Putnam, Bureau, LaSalle.
The WIAAA is a non-profit corporation created for the purpose of improving the quality of life for older Americans.
WIAAA’s mission is to empower and support older adults, adults with disabilities and their caregivers by providing quality services, resources and opportunities to maintain independence and elevate quality of life.
