PHOTO: Sharpe returns to Oglesby Washington

Ron Sharpe (left) and his family sing songs and perform to Oglesby Washington students in the gymnasium on Friday. This was an educational outreach program sponsored by North Central Illinois ARTworks.  Sharpe grew up in Oglesby and attended Oglesby Washington. Sharpe met his wife Barbara Russell on stage of the Broadway show “Les Miserables.” Ron Sharpe and his family will perform “Married to Broadway” staring The Sharpe Family Singers Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. in L-P’s Matthiessen Auditorium. The concert will benefit fundraising efforts for renovation projects at Stage 212’s Manahan Center for the Performing Arts.
