GENEVA – Friends of the Child Advocacy Center, the nonprofit supporter of the Kane County Child Advocacy Center, is hosting a gift cards drive to assist the direct family needs of child abuse victims in Kane County, the agency announced in a news release.
Gas, grocery and clothing-type gift cards are requested and can be dropped off from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays from April 29 to May 3 at the Kane County Child Advocacy Center, 427 Campbell St., Geneva.
Friends of the Child Advocacy Center is a nonprofit group that assists with direct victim needs.
The Child Advocacy Center is a multi-disciplinary team comprised of DCFS, victim advocates, law enforcement, mental health professionals, medical professionals, certified forensic interviewers and prosecutors who investigate and prosecute child sexual abuse in Kane County.
