The boyfriend of the deceased 28-year-old woman whose body was found inside a Spring Valley apartment Friday evening was taken into custody and questioned by police Saturday.
According to a press release issued by Spring Valley Police, Eddie L. Mentgen, 37, of 2 Ponsetti Drive, Apartment 2B — the apartment where Marissa S. Roberts was found dead — was picked up by Wisconsin State Police around 1 a.m. Saturday, after an Illinois Department of Corrections arrest warrant was issued for parole violation.
Mentgen is currently being held in Dane County Jail in Madison pending extradition. According to the release, Spring Valley officers traveled to Wisconsin and interviewed Mentgen. No charges have been filed against him or anyone else in regards to the death of Roberts at this time.
