PRINCETON — glenhagen farm retreat and Second Story Teen Center invite everyone to join them for a benefit concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Evangelical Covenant Church, 24 N. Main St. in Princeton.
The concert will include an array of family friendly tunes from the pop music world, including artist such as Josh Groban, Jason Mraz, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder and Sarah Bareilles, and songs such as “Peace, A Time for Healing” and “Put a Little Love in Your Heart.”
The concert features four of Chicago’s top professional singers, Daniel Riley, Lisa Bowker, Matt Bowker and Angel Underhill, who are featured soloists with the Lakeside Singers,
Chicago's premiere professional choral group, and a six-piece band with Bobby Schiff, piano; Jerry DiMuzio, sax and flute; Andy Tecson, sax; Dave Onderdonk, guitar; Matt Plaskota, drums; and James Ross, bass. Members of the band have performed with a wide array of jazz and pop artists, ranging from Frank Sinatra and Liza Minnelli to Stevie
Wonder and Lady Gaga.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Johnson Carpet Shoppe, 1033 N. Main St. in Princeton, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, or at Second Story Teen Center, located above the Johnson Carpet Shoppe, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Fridays.
