WALNUT — A grand opening is planned for Saturday at the new Dollar General Store, 613 W. North St. (Route 92), on the west edge of Walnut.

There will be prizes, deals and free $10 Dollar General gift cards to the first 50 adult shoppers, and free tote bags with product samples to the first 200.

Danielle Mclymont, store manager, said the 9,221-square-foot store will have eight employees (three full-time and five part-time) and be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
