Train services were restored Wednesday after police activity at Ogilvie Transportation Center brought the station’s transport schedule to a standstill.
Affected Union Pacific North, Union Pacific West and Union Pacific Northwest trains were restored shortly after noon Wednesday, according to tweets from Metra sent at 12:18 p.m.
Trains could not enter or leave the Chicago center Wednesday morning because of "police activity," Metra officials said in tweets sent at
10:53 a.m. and 11:47 a.m. Wednesday.
Some media outlets reported that Chicago police were investigating unattended luggage left at the station.
