Police Reports: Elmhurst for April 6

Battery

Kinal S. Patel, 32, of the zero to 100 block of Elm Creek Drive, Elmhurst, was charged at 1:02 a.m. April 1 with domestic battery in the zero to 100 block of Elm Creek Drive.

DUI

• Aaron K. Radcliff, 30, of the 200 block of South Fourth Avenue, Maywood, was charged at 9:27 a.m. March 25 with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a communication device while driving, improper lane use and transportation of open alcohol at St. Charles Road and Ardmore Avenue.

• Elizabeth Gniatczyk, 53, of the 200 block of North Maison Court, Elmhurst, was charged at 2:37 p.m. March 27 with DUI of alcohol in the 600 block of North Kenilworth Avenue.

• Richard R. Jourige, 22, of the 7000 block of West 13th Street, Berwyn, was charged at 1:02 a.m. March 28 with DUI of alcohol and speeding at Butterfield Road and Colfax Avenue.

• Lonny E. Wachsning, 74, of the 300 block of East Montrose Avenue, Wood Dale, was charged at 9:49 p.m. March 28 with DUI of alcohol and driving wrong way – one-way street at St. Charles Road and York Street.

• Gregory Fry, 58, of the 1100 block of South Center Street, Bensenville, was charged at 1:05 a.m. March 30 with DUI of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control signal and improper lane use at Grand Avenue and Church Street.

• Julie A. Miller-Sheehan, 40, of the 500 block of West Crockett Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 9:01 p.m. March 31 with DUI of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at Garden and Babcock avenues.

• Lashonna T. Glover, 39, of the 700 block of North Hamlin Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 11:39 p.m. March 31 with DUI of alcohol and improper lane use at North and North West avenues.

• Tyran D. Smith, 34, of the 15800 block of Lincoln Avenue, Harvey, was charged at 3:53 a.m. April 1 with DUI of alcohol, improper lane use, driving without headlights when required and illegal transportation of alcohol at North and North West avenues.

Harassment

An incident of telephone harassment reportedly occurred between 12:01 a.m. and 9:05 p.m. March 30 in the 200 block of East Oneida Avenue.

Theft

• A set of headphones was reported stolen at 5:54 p.m. March 25 at T-Mobile, 361 S. Route 83.

• Raw probiotic capsules reportedly were stolen at 10:50 a.m. March 26 at Whole Foods, 215 S. Route 83.

• Over-the-counter medication reportedly was stolen between 3:51 and 3:59 p.m. March 26 at Walgreens, 160 N. Robert T. Palmer Drive.

• A white 48-foot semi-trailer reportedly was stolen between 5 a.m. March 13 and 5 a.m. March 20 at McMaster-Carr, 600 N. County Line Road.

• A phone reportedly was stolen at 3 p.m. March 24 from a gym bag at Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect Ave.

• Athletic shirts, coats and pants reportedly were stolen at 1:05 p.m. March 27 at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83.

Unlawful use of weapon

Harold W. Finnelly, 49, of the 700 block of Seventh Avenue, La Grange, was charged at 6:21 p.m. March 27 with unlawful use of weapon at York and Church streets.

Warrant arrest

• Julian Perez, 23, of the 2500 block of South 61st Street, Cicero, was arrested at 9:45 p.m. March 27 on a warrant out of Kendall County at North Avenue and Oak Street. Brian O. Sanchez, 20, of the 1200 block of South 50th Avenue, Cicero, was charged at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and no rear registration plate light at the same location.

• Dawn E. Conway, 45, of the 800 block of South Chatham Avenue, Addison, was arrested at 12:33 p.m. March 31 on a warrant out of DuPage County at the Elmhurst Police Department, 125 E. First St.

• Tiffany R. Russo, 23, of the 1900 block of Mission Hills Drive, Elgin, was arrested at 12:21 a.m. April 1 on a warrant out of Elgin at Route 83 and St. Charles Road. Ivan Valle, 21, of the 1600 block of Pebble Beach Circle, Elgin, and Sydney A. Russo, 20, of the 1900 block of Mission Hills Drive, Elgin, were cited at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana at the same location.

Identity theft

• An incident involving identity theft was reported at 6:20 p.m. March 25 at the Elm Creek Apartments and Townhomes, 1 Elm Creek Drive.

An incident involving identity theft was reported at 5:09 p.m. March 26 as having occurred at 3 p.m. March 12 at T-Mobile, 560 W. St. Charles Road. Someone reportedly opened a fraudulent Verizon Wirelss account using the victim's personal information and received a free phone during the process. Two additional iPhones reportedly were charged to the account and sent to the victim's address using FedEx. The victim contacted Verizon, and the account was frozen.

• An incident involving identity theft reportedly occurred between 8 a.m. March 26 and 9 p.m. March 28 in the 700 block of South Parkside Avenue.

Property damage

• A BB gun reportedly may have been used to crack the windshields of two vehicles between 6 p.m. March 1 and 8:30 a.m. March 8 in the 100 block of North Avon Road.

• A BB gun reportedly may have been used to crack the windshield of a vehicle between 3:30 p.m. March 18 and 7:30 a.m. March 19 in the 100 block of North Avon Road.

• A masonry brick reportedly was used to damage a walkway lantern between 11 p.m. March 30 and 5 a.m. March 31 in the 900 block of South Hawthorne Avenue.

• A masonry brick reportedly was used to damage a fixed walkway lantern between 11 p.m. March 30 and 5 a.m. March 31 in the 900 block of South Hawthorne Avenue. The brick reportedly was found in the lawn adjacent to the damaged lantern.

• A masonry brick reportedly was used to damage a fixed walkway lantern between midnight and 11 a.m March 31 in the 900 block of South Hawthorne Avenue. The brick reportedly was found in the lawn adjacent to the damaged lantern.

• A flag pole light and flag pole reportedly were damaged between 11:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. March 31 in the 800 block of South Cedar Avenue.

Suspicious circumstances

• An incident involving suspicious circumstances was reported at 7:35 a.m. March 28 in the 100 block of Elmwood Terrace. The victim found his gray 2003 Volkswagen Jetta in the driveway propped up on wooden blocks and missing all four hubcaps. The four hubcaps were found in front of the house.

• An incident involving suspicious circumstances reportedly occurred between 9:15 and 9:20 p.m. March 28 in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue. An audible car alarm reportedly sounded, and the complaintant reportedly witnessed a subject rummaging through another vehicle. As the complaintant approached the vehicle, the subject entered a gray Ford Focus and fled. A police officer checked the parking deck and did not observe any vehicles to have been broken into and did not hear an alarm.

Suspicious person

An incident involving a suspicious person was reported at 6:41 p.m. March 25 in the 700 block of South Saylor Avenue.
