CHANNAHON – A Channahon couple won more than $1 million on a game show called “The Wall.”

Noah and Lisa Arroyo appeared Monday on the NBC show described as the “fastest and simplest game with more than $12 million on the line every night.”

The show is from executive producer and NBA superstar LeBron James.

Noah Arroyo, who works as an AT&T telecommunication installer repairman, said being on the show was an amazing, adrenaline-filled coaster ride.

“It was an experience that will obviously be engraved in our memories,” Noah Arroyo said.

The show features a four-story wall, and contestants are tasked with getting questions correct so a green ball falls down on the wall and adds value of the slot to the players’ winning total, according to NBC. If a question is missed, then an ominous red ball falls and deducts the value from the team’s total. The team has to work together to build a huge cash prize.

“A roller coaster of emotions, The Wall gives and The Wall takes away,” NBC’s website states.

Noah Arroyo’s heroic efforts saving a man from a building that sustained an explosion was highlighted on “The Wall.”

In 2001, an explosion and fire at a Trinity Services day treatment facility in Manhattan occurred. Six people suffered minor injuries. Arroyo, who was installing a new phone line at the site, rushed in to help a trapped client, carrying him over his back and then to safety.

Noah Arroyo said Lisa Arroyo, he works for Harrah’s Casino in Joliet, and him have been watching the show, which he said is exciting and innovative. The show has been airing on NBC since December.

He said the show creates a connection with people and helps give them a second chance.

“You don’t see that all the time,” he said.

Lisa Arroyo said the opportunity to be on the show was fortunate for their family.

“We’re grateful and blessed we had an opportunity to be a part of it,” she said.
