State Police release information on two crashes at Rt. 52, Grove Rd.

The Illinois State Police has released information on two crashes that occurred recently at the intersection of Route 52 and Grove Road in southern Kendall County.

In one crash that occurred Oct. 25 at 4:42 p.m., police say a 2012 Nissan Sentra driven by Savannah M. Woosley, 28, of Oswego, failed to yield the right of way and attempted to proceed through the intersection and was struck by a 2010 Cadillac driven by Eric Thomas, 23, of Sheridan.

Woosley and her passenger, a five-year-old juvenile, were transported to Morris Hospital by the Minooka Fire Department with minor injuries, police said.

In another crash that occurred Oct. 22 at 10:09 a.m., according to police, a 2010 Ford Fusion driven by Michael Cross-Clay, 20, of Matteson failed to yield the right of way and attempted to proceed through the intersection where it was struck by a 2007 Volvo tractor trailer driven by William Olin Joplin, 64, of Gladstone, Mo. No injuries were reported.
