Driver injured after minivan rolls into Dunkin Donuts in Fox River Grove

Crash broke window of restaurant, fire official says

FOX RIVER GROVE — The driver of a minivan was transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital after the vehicle rolled over into a Dunkin Donuts along Route 14, a fire official said.

Fox River Grove Fire Protection District Lt. Chris Dammers said the man suffered minor injuries when the vehicle rolled over in the restaurant's parking lot at about 10:45 a.m. and slid against the building, breaking a window.

The crash was reported by customers eating in the Dunkin Donuts at 916 Route 14, Dammers said. The building did not suffer damage beyond the broken window, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

It's unclear what caused the vehicle to roll over. Fox River Grove police also responded to the crash and are investigating, he said.
