Fire destroys Boulder Hill garage, two vehicles

A fire May 28 destroyed the garage of a Boulder Hill home and two cars parked inside the garage, according to the Oswego Fire Protection District.

The fire district reported they were summoned to the blaze on Circle Drive East on a report of a structure fire at 5:04 a.m.

Upon arrival at the the residence, firefighters found a two-story wood frame single-family home with the attached two-car garage in flames.

The fire district reported that firefighters had the blaze under control within approximately 10 minutes of their arrival with minimal damage to the exterior of the home. However, the garage and the two vehicles were a total loss.

The fire district estimated the loss as a result of the blaze at $75,000.

No one was hurt in the incident, according to the fire district.

Firefighters from the Montgomery and Countryside and Bristol-Kendall Fire Protection Districts provided assistance.
