Hampshire sophomore Sophia Oury placed just outside the top 10 finishers at the Sycamore Invitational at Afton Forest Preserve on Tuesday, finishing 11th with a time of 21:21.5 in the eight-team meet.
The Whip-Purs finished fourth with 101 points.
Belvidere North won with 50 points.
Elgin City Classic: At Elgin, the Dundee-Crown girls cross country team finished in seventh place at the 10-team meet. Sylvia Waz led the Chargers with a 10th-place finish and a time of 20:59. Skyler Finucane was second on the team with a 32nd-place finish (22:38).
