Elmhurst Extreme 12U finish third at Wheaton tournament

ELMHURST – The Elmhurst Extreme 12U baseball team took third place in the 12-team Wheaton Red, White and Blue Tournament that ended on July 12.

The team finished with a 5-1 record in the tournament, with the only loss coming against the Batavia Bulldogs in the tournament semifinal. The Extreme defeated the Yorkville Foxes 13-11 in extra innings to take third place.

In the three pool play wins, the Extreme outscored its opposition 32-10.

Players on the team are: Jacob Caffrey, Casey Colantonio, Michael Connell, Gavin Hendron, Michael Hilgart, Mikey Kamienski, Tommy Kamienski, Trent Lawrence, Joe Losurdo, Johnny Menconi, Tyler Procajlo and Ryan Riser. The team is coached by Mike Kamienski, who is assisted by Tom Kamienski, Rick Hendron, and Sean Lawrence.
