Geneva resident Nancy Joerg, 70, was at the Geneva Public Library with her granddaughter, Charlotte, 7, of St. Charles, when she answered 11 questions for the Kane County Chronicle's Brenda Schory.
Where did you grow up? Freeport, a village on Long Island in New York.
Who would play you in the movie of your life? Anne Bancroft
First job? School teacher
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be an attorney, and I became one. I am the managing shareholder for Wessels Sherman in St. Charles. And I wrote a book, "Welcome to the World of Independent Contractors and Other Contingent Workers."
A movie you’d recommend? “The King’s Speech”
Favorite charity? United Way and American Red Cross.
Do you have children? Three, [and] six granddaughters and one grandson
Favorite flavor of ice cream? Chocolate chip
Words of wisdom? It could be worse.

What is an interesting factoid about yourself? I graduated from law school the day I turned 40.
